Vaughan, Ontario
Dental staffing in Vaughan
Book temp dental hygienists, dental assistants and front office staff across Woodbridge, Maple, Concord, Kleinburg and the Metropolitan Centre. One city, two completely different hiring markets.
Why this city is different
A subway that changed one corner
Vaughan is the only municipality outside Toronto with subway stations of its own, and in hiring that is the most misunderstood fact about the city. Both sit at the very bottom, against the Toronto boundary. Walk fifteen minutes from either and you still have not reached Woodbridge, Maple, Concord or Kleinburg, which is to say you have not reached Vaughan.
That splits one municipality into two hiring markets. At the Metropolitan Centre you can recruit somebody who has never owned a car. Four kilometres away you are recruiting drivers, and the intersection matters more than the city.

The Vaughan Metropolitan Centre blocks themselves. Towers, the bus terminal, and the handful of ground-floor units around them.

For Vaughan practices
Know which of the two markets you are in
Do not lead with the subway unless you are on it
Two stations in one corner of a very large city. If a professional has to drive to reach you anyway, the claim reads as spin and costs you trust.
If you are at the Metropolitan Centre, say it twice
You can hire people who do not own cars. That is genuinely rare out here and it widens your pool more than anything else in the posting.
Name the community
Woodbridge, Maple, Concord, Kleinburg. People here use those names and they tell a professional far more about the trip than the municipality does.
Free parking is worth a line
Almost everywhere in the city offers it, and against an equivalent downtown shift that is a real difference in what the day is worth.
For Vaughan professionals
Check the address, not the city
A suburban shift you can reach by train
If you live downtown without a car, the Metropolitan Centre practices are genuinely reachable on Line 1. Very little else outside Toronto is.
Everywhere else, bring a car
Woodbridge, Maple and Kleinburg are not walkable from a station, and the buses connecting them are not built around a nine o'clock start.
Italian comes up here
More than anywhere else we staff in Ontario. If you speak it, put it in your profile, because established practices here ask.
One tax form, however many practices
Every shift runs through WORKFORCE, so a year across Vaughan, Richmond Hill and Toronto lands on a single T4.
Vaughan staffing questions
Vaughan has a subway. Does that help me hire?
Only if you are next to it, and almost nobody is. The Line 1 extension put two stations in the very bottom corner of a large city, at the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre and Highway 407. If your practice is in Woodbridge, Maple, Kleinburg or most of Concord, the subway is not a realistic way for anybody to reach you and saying you are in Vaughan does not change that. If you genuinely are at the Metropolitan Centre, it is one of the most valuable things about your posting.
What is the advantage if I am at the Metropolitan Centre?
You can recruit somebody who does not own a car, which no other suburban practice in this region can. A hygienist living downtown or in North York can reach you on one train, which means your pool is not limited to people who already live in York Region. That is worth stating explicitly, because professionals do not expect a suburban shift to be reachable without driving.
And if I am not near a station?
Then you are recruiting drivers, and the practical things matter more than the city name. Say your intersection, say whether parking is free, and say which community you are in. Woodbridge, Maple and Kleinburg mean something to people here in a way that Vaughan does not.
How big is Vaughan really?
Large enough that treating it as one market will cost you. It runs from the Toronto boundary at Steeles up to King Township, and Kleinburg to Thornhill is a serious cross-city trip. A professional in Woodbridge is not casually working east Thornhill, and the roads through the middle of the city are not fast.
Do you cover the whole city?
Yes, across Woodbridge, Maple, Concord, Kleinburg, the Metropolitan Centre and the Vaughan side of Thornhill. Notice matters more the further from the built-up south you are, and Kleinburg in particular is a smaller pool than the rest.
Who employs the temp professional in my Vaughan practice?
We do, on temp and locum bookings. For hygienists we confirm registration in good standing with the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario, and for locum dentists with the RCDSO. Dental assisting is not a regulated profession in Ontario, so there we confirm the NDAEB certificate for Level II duties and HARP certification where the role involves radiographs. On a permanent hire your practice is the employer and runs its own checks.
Whichever side of the chair you are on
Temporary staffing, permanent placement and dentist locum cover throughout Vaughan, for the practices that need people and the professionals who want the work.
For dental offices
Cover the chair, or fill the role
If you are at the Metropolitan Centre, you can hire people who do not drive, and almost no other suburban practice can. If you are anywhere else, give the intersection and the parking and skip the subway.
For dental professionals
Pick up the work
One corner of this city is reachable on Line 1 from downtown. The rest of it needs a car, so read the address rather than the city name before you claim the shift.
