Dental staffing in Delta
Cover an open chair in North Delta, Ladner or Tsawwassen, or find temp shifts close to home. The three communities draw on three different pools, so telling us which one you are in is what gets your shift in front of the right people.
Which Delta
One municipality, three separate pools
Delta is unusual. Its three communities do not touch, and each leans toward a different neighbour. North Delta runs along the Surrey boundary and behaves as part of that market. Ladner looks to Richmond through the tunnel. Tsawwassen, out by the terminal, is largely its own.
Because matching runs on the trip someone would genuinely make, those three lean in three directions. A shift posted as “Delta” asks a professional in North Delta to consider a drive to Tsawwassen, which most will simply skip.

For Delta practices
Two things that make the difference here
Say which Delta
North Delta, Ladner or Tsawwassen. The three draw on genuinely different pools, so the word Delta on its own sends your shift to people for whom it may be a forty minute drive.
Notice is your best lever
In a spread-out driving market, giving people time to plan around a trip widens who will take it more than anything else you control.
Compliance sits with us on temp
Registration confirmed, insurance carried and payroll run on temp and locum bookings, where the professional is our employee. One invoice, all in.
Recurring beats repeated
Where the local pool is thin, a standing arrangement with someone nearby is worth more than posting the same gap week after week.
The lever you control
In Delta, notice is worth more than anything
The people who could cover your Thursday are not a fixed set. Someone half an hour away will take the shift if they can plan around it, and will not if you ask at eight that morning. In a spread-out driving market that difference is most of your coverage.
It is also the only part of this you fully control. We cannot make more professionals live in Tsawwassen, but a week of notice genuinely changes who is willing to come.
The dial is illustrative. It shows the idea, not a measured catchment, and we do not publish fill rates or times.

For Delta professionals
A quieter market, and that is the advantage
Less competition out here
Ladner and Tsawwassen are quieter markets, which means the shifts that do appear are not being fought over. Offices notice professionals who live close.
Widen the radius when you want to
Include Richmond or South Surrey and the volume increases considerably. Keep it local and you keep the short commute. It is your setting.
See it before you claim it
Community, role, hours and rate are all on the shift before you accept, so a trip out to Tsawwassen is never a surprise.
One tax form, however many offices
Every shift runs through WORKFORCE, so working across Delta and Richmond still lands on a single T4.

Delta staffing questions
Why does it matter which part of Delta my practice is in?
Because the three communities do not share a pool. North Delta runs along the Surrey boundary and draws from the Surrey workforce. Ladner sits by the river and looks to Richmond through the tunnel. Tsawwassen is out by the ferry terminal and is largely its own small market. Farmland sits between them, so they are not a continuum. Saying North Delta, Ladner or Tsawwassen in your post is what puts the shift in front of the right group.
How much notice should I give for a Delta shift?
More than you would in Burnaby, and it is the single most useful lever you have here. Delta is spread out and largely driving, so professionals a little further away will take the work if they can plan around the trip. Tsawwassen benefits most from notice, North Delta least because it borders Surrey. We do not publish fill times, but this pattern is consistent.
Who employs the temp professional in my Delta office?
We do, on temp and locum bookings. Registration with the BC College of Oral Health Professionals is confirmed, insurance is carried and payroll is run by us, and you get one invoice at an all-in hourly rate. On a permanent hire your practice becomes the employer and runs its own registration checks and references.
Can you cover same-day callouts in Delta?
In North Delta reasonably often, because the Surrey pool is right there. In Ladner and especially Tsawwassen a same-day request is a harder ask. Where the pool is thin, booking ahead or arranging a recurring professional is usually the better strategy.
I live in Ladner or Tsawwassen. Is there enough work nearby?
Locally it is a quieter market, which cuts both ways: fewer shifts, but far less competition for the ones that appear, and offices here value a professional who lives close. If you are willing to include Richmond or South Surrey in your radius the volume increases considerably. You choose, and every shift shows its location before you claim it.
What does WORKFORCE charge a Delta practice?
Temp is one all-in hourly rate covering the professional's pay, payroll, remittances and insurance, so nothing is added afterwards. Permanent placement carries a fee on conversion, quoted up front before you commit and priced competitively against a recruiter. We are an agency and we charge agency fees.
