FAQs

Got questions? We're glad you asked.

Here's what you need to know about your job types.

Ontario offices can now choose how temporary professionals are paid.

When viewing a job, you will see a badge that says either:

  • Paid by Workforce

  • Paid by Office

This tells you who will be responsible for paying you for that shift.

Clicking the badge will show more details about what the payment model means.

When a job is labeled Paid by Workforce, Workforce will pay you directly.

In this model:

  • Workforce processes your pay

  • Payroll and taxes are handled by Workforce

  • You submit your timesheet through the portal

  • The office approves the shift

Your pay is issued by Workforce after the shift is approved.

When a job is labeled Paid by Office, the office will pay you directly.

In this model:

  • The office handles payment

  • The office manages payroll and tax reporting

  • Workforce provides the platform and verifies licenses

Payment timing and method will be determined by the office.

Yes.

For all shifts, regardless of payment model, you must:

  • Check in at the start of the shift

  • Check out at the end of the shift

  • Submit your timesheet

This protects both you and the office by documenting the shift and preventing disputes.

The office must approve your shift after you submit your timesheet.

Approval confirms that the hours worked are accurate.

No.

All professionals still use the same Workforce platform to:

  • Browse shifts

  • Accept jobs

  • Check in and out

  • Submit timesheets

The only difference is who processes payment.
